The idea for the development of Computer Medics of America, Inc. was conceptualized early in 2000 by John Francis. In July of 2000, the first unit was opened in Eagle River, Alaska operating under the name of The Eagle River Computer Doctor.
By November, 2001, the business was booming beyond what a single unit could handle. With knowledge gained from past experiences in hiring and supervising employees, John made the decision that the business would be best served by a network of self-employed technicians rather than hiring and supervising numerous employees. The Company was incorporated under the name of Computer Medics of America, Inc.,
in late 2002 and the process of marketing the business began. John still owns
and operates the Eagle River Franchise where he lives with his wife and
children.
All franchisees are encouraged to become active members of their respective communities and to make contributions from the business to various community organizations. We must always remember that the people in our communities are not only our customers but our neighbors and friends and that although we want our businesses to prosper, it is also our responsiblity as citizens of our local communities to help to make them a better place to live.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Computer Medics of America, Inc., operate under the philosophy that we are there to assist everyone with their computer problems. There are no problems that are too big or too small for us. We consider ourselves to be problem solvers and we will do everything in our power to find a solution to the problems that we encounter. The very last resort for our customers is the reformatting of their hard drive. We stand by our motto that states:
“If we can’t fix it, the House Call is free”
